**What is Animation Studio?**

A browser studio that turns a story into an animated short. It writes the storyboard, draws a model sheet for every character and a painted set for every place, blocks out each shot as a 3D previs, and films every shot with Seedance 2.5 from that previs, so the camera does what you staged and the characters look the same in every shot.

**How do the characters stay the same from shot to shot?**

Every shot is filmed with the character sheets of the characters in it and the painted set of its place as references, alongside the 3D previs that sets the camera and motion. Fix a sheet with a sentence and every shot you film after that uses the fixed version.

**Do I need to know 3D or animation?**

No. The set builder stages every shot for you from the storyboard, and shots in the same place share one set. If you want more control, open any shot in the 3D editor and move the characters, props and camera by hand.

**Which styles can I make?**

Anime, 3D feature, stop-motion, 2D cartoon, storybook, 90s anime, paper cutout and graphic novel. The style goes into every sheet, set and shot, so the whole film matches. You can also use your own character art.

**What does it cost?**

Writing the storyboard and staging every shot in 3D are free, with no sign-in. Character sheets, sets and filming are paid in credits, and each button shows the price before you spend anything. Failed shots are refunded.

**How long can a film be?**

Up to eight shots of 4 to 8 seconds each (a shot you restage by hand can run to 15), so about 15 seconds to a minute. Longer stories work well as a series of films with the same cast.

**Can I change a shot after it is filmed?**

Yes. Edit what happens, the camera or who is in it and restage the shot, or open it in the 3D editor, then film it again. Earlier takes stay available, and you choose which one goes in the cut.

**Can I use real people?**

Animation Studio is for original characters. Seedance won’t film photos of real people, so describe new characters or upload character art you have the rights to.

**What do I get at the end?**

An MP4 of the whole film with its sound, cut in your browser, and every shot as its own clip.
