# AI Mockup Generator

Upload a design, logo, or artwork and describe where it should live — a t-shirt, a coffee cup, a storefront, a billboard. Made renders a photorealistic mockup with the design placed in the scene.

## How to use AI Mockup Generator

1. **Upload the design**
A flat, high-contrast version of the logo or artwork reproduces most faithfully.
2. **Name the surface and scene**
Say what it goes on and where — “on a white ceramic mug on a kitchen counter, morning light.”
3. **Generate and check the design**
Verify the artwork survived intact: colors, proportions, and any lettering.
4. **Iterate the scene**
Keep the design fixed and vary the surface, angle, or environment for more shots.

## What people use it for

- **Client presentations** Show a logo or identity concept in situ — signage, packaging, merch — before anything is produced.
- **Print-on-demand listings** Create lifestyle mockups for t-shirts, mugs, and cases without buying template packs per product.
- **Pitch and portfolio imagery** Stage speculative work in realistic settings for a case study or portfolio page.
- **Social proof-of-concept** Test how a design reads on a real surface and share it for feedback before committing.

## Put your design on a real-world product

### What it does

**Input**

One design or logo image (JPEG, PNG, or WebP) plus a description of the mockup surface and scene

**Output**

PNG mockup image

**How it works**

Made sends your photo and the instruction to the Nano Banana 2 edit model on fal.ai and returns a PNG. When that provider is not configured, the edit falls back to Google’s Nano Banana on Replicate.

**Access**

Set up the request on this page. You sign in to run it, and each run is priced in credits before you start.

### Formats and limits

**Input formats**

JPEG, PNG, WebP

**Output format**

PNG

**Images per request**

One design image

**Design fidelity**

Fine lettering and thin strokes can drift when wrapped onto surfaces — inspect before use

**Perspective**

The model simulates wrap, fabric folds, and lighting; results are photorealistic renders, not vector previews

## Questions about AI Mockup Generator

**How is this different from template-based mockup tools?**

Template tools composite your file onto a fixed photo, which is pixel-exact but limited to the templates you own. Made generates the whole scene, so any surface and setting is possible — the trade-off is that the design is re-rendered rather than pasted, so you must check its fidelity on each output.

**Will my logo stay accurate in the mockup?**

Simple, bold marks reproduce well. Fine lettering, thin strokes, and precise brand colors can drift when the model wraps the design onto fabric or curved surfaces. Review every output against the original, and regenerate if details slipped.

**What surfaces can it mock up?**

Anything you can describe: apparel, packaging, cups, phone cases, book covers, signage, vehicles, billboards. Flat and gently curved surfaces are the most faithful; heavily distorted surfaces like crumpled fabric take more attempts.

**Can I get the same design on several products?**

Yes — upload once and run one request per surface. Keeping the design fixed while changing only the product description gives you a consistent mockup set for a listing or brand presentation.

**Is the output good enough for a print-on-demand listing?**

The PNG is listing-quality for lifestyle context shots. For the actual production file, upload your original vector or high-resolution artwork to the print service — the mockup is presentation imagery, not a print file.

**Can it show the mockup with a person using the product?**

Yes. Describe the person and context — “worn by a runner stretching outdoors” — and the scene is generated around the product. People in mockups are generated, not real customers.

**What input file works best?**

A clean PNG of the design on a plain background, at a reasonable resolution. Screenshots with UI chrome or busy backgrounds around the artwork make it harder for the model to isolate what should be placed.
