Questions about the ceiling fan trend

What is the ceiling fan trend?

A top-down video of someone lying on the floor under a ceiling fan. Each time a blade sweeps across the camera, they come out in a new outfit. It’s also called the ceiling fan transition, Under the Fan or the fan transition.

Do I need a ceiling fan?

No. Recast starts from a ceiling fan clip that’s already filmed and puts you in it, so all you need is photos of yourself.

Which photos should I add?

A full-length photo of you in each outfit, in the order they should appear: one to start in, then one for each pass of the blade, so four for this clip. Clear, well-lit photos where the whole outfit shows work best.

Can I use my own fan video?

Yes. Swap in your own clip, from 4 to 30 seconds, add your photos and keep the prompt. Recast keeps your timing and every blade pass.

Does it keep the sound?

Yes. Recast Pro puts the clip’s original soundtrack back on your video.

How long does it take?

About ten minutes, and the video is saved to your account when it’s done.
