Runway alternative

Made vs Runway

Runway discontinued its Unlimited plan in 2026 and moved everyone to metered credit tiers, while its catalog grew from its own Gen-4.5 into aggregating Kling, Veo, and Seedance. That leaves Runway in a strange spot: you pay Runway credit rates for third-party models you can get elsewhere. Made doesn’t carry Runway’s own models — but it runs the aggregated list, each model priced in credits before you run it, with unused credits rolling over.

Made prices are in credits, from the public price sheet. Plans start at $5 a month for 290 credits; each Made price below also shows what it costs on Pro Annual ($240 a year for 1,700 credits a month).

Why people look for a Runway alternative

  • The Unlimited plan is gone — existing subscribers were migrated to metered plans on September 1, 2026.
  • Third-party models — Kling, Veo, Seedance — are billed in Runway credits tied to the plan cycle.
  • The top metered tiers run roughly $76–95/month.

Choose Made when…

  • You use Runway mainly to reach Kling, Veo, or Seedance — in Made those are Kling 2.6 Pro at 7 credits / second, Veo 3.1 at 40 credits / second, and Seedance 2.5 at from 22.05 credits / second, priced before you run them.
  • You want unused credits to roll over and failed generations refunded automatically.

Stick with Runway when…

  • The job needs Runway’s own models — Gen-4.5 and its motion tools aren’t in Made’s catalog.
  • You’re embedded in Runway’s editing timeline and production workflow, not just its generation.

The verdict

If Gen-4.5 is the reason you pay Runway, stay for it. If you’re paying Runway mainly to reach Kling, Veo, or Seedance, Made runs them on plans where unused credits roll over and every model is open on every plan.

The quickest way to decide: run your usual prompt in Made — the price of the experiment is on the Generate button before you start.

Common questions

Is Made a good Runway alternative?
If your complaint with Runway is credits that expire or prices you can’t see before you generate, yes. Every model’s price in credits is on the public price sheet and the Generate button, unused credits roll over, every model is open on every plan, and failed generations are refunded automatically.
Can I run the same models I use on Runway in Made?
Made’s catalog covers Kling 2.6 Pro, Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.5, among 72 priced models. The full list, with each model’s price in credits, is on the price sheet.
How much do Made credits cost?
Plans start at $5 a month for 290 credits, and bigger plans make each credit cheaper. A model costs the same number of credits on every plan, so a bigger plan buys more generations, not different models.
Do Made credits expire? What happens when a generation fails?
No. Unused credits roll over, and failed generations are refunded automatically.
